MSNBC Abruptly Dumps Tiffany Cross, Declines to Renew Contract After 2 Years

APACHE JUNCTION, AZ (IFS) --  It's amazing, that we were just talking about Melissa Perry-Harris.  MSNBC gets very scared of the giants they create and when they turn on them, MSNBC last and only last act is the axe.  However, being fired from MSNBC has its real upsides for the better. -KHS

”The Cross Connection“ host will leave her post effective immediately, with rotating anchors filling in as hosts - by Harper Lambert | November 4, 2022 @ 8:51 AM

Tiffany Cross, host of “The Cross Connection With Tiffany Cross,” has exited MSNBC after the network failed to renew her two-year contract.

Cross and her staff were notified of the show’s cancellation Friday morning, according to an individual with knowledge. Her last show was on Saturday.

Aside from Cross, no other staffing changes have been made. A rotating group of anchors will fill in during her time block of Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET while the network searches for a replacement. There is no timeline as to when a new show will be announced.

According to a person with knowledge of the matter, Cross’ ousting comes after she was addressed multiple times this year about on-air comments that do not reflect the network’s values.

Trump Supporters’ Promise of ‘Civil War’ Feels Like It ‘Has Already Begun,’ MSNBC’s Tiffany Cross Says (Video)

“It’s more than just threats,” Cross said. “Their rhetoric has already led to actual violence, and there is likely more to come”

MSNBC’s Tiffany Cross is taking the rhetoric coming from many Americans that the country is on the “brink” of civil war very seriously, saying that it feels like “one has already begun.”

On Saturday’s “The Cross Connection,” the MSNBC host was joined by author Barbara F. Walter and Columbia journalism dean Jelani Cobb in a segment called “Democracy in Danger” to ask the question, has America already slipped into a civil war?

“These days, it feels like we are not just at the brink of a civil war, but that one has already begun,” Cross said, kicking off the discussion, illustrating her point by showing clips of Sen. Lindsey Graham predicting “riots in the street” if Donald Trump is prosecuted for “mishandling classified information.” The South Carolina Republican’s comment landed with such force that President Biden mentioned it in his “soul of the nation” address Thursday night.

Cross followed up that clip with one of former Trump chief strategist Steve Bannon saying that the FBI had become “the Gestapo,” citing a Vox article that said MAGA was a threat to “the American state.”

“They didn’t say the country, they didn’t say America as a nation, they didn’t say the American people. The American state,” Bannon said. “They are absolutely correct. You said the quiet part out loud. We are a threat to the American state.”

Trump supporters and MAGA are “already speaking the language of violence” all for Donald Trump, Cross said.

“They’re threatening the FBI, the DOJ, the state itself. And this is all as they defend their dear leader,” Cross said. “Now, it’s more than just threats, though. Their rhetoric has already led to actual violence, and there is likely more to come. And I don’t need to remind you how the MAGA mob sacked the Capitol on Jan. 6 in an effort to overturn the 2020 election.”

Some of these people are now candidates for office, Cross noted, people who are “looking to run our elections and, quite frankly, our government. And for those insurrectionists being prosecuted, discount Don, is, quote, financially supporting some of them and offering to pardon the lot if he’s reelected in 2024.”

Cross concluded, “More than 40% of Americans think a civil war is likely in the next decade. That’s a big number. Is this where history will say it began?”

Throughout her tenure, the host regularly ripped into conservative politicians and media figures. During an appearance last night on Comedy Central’s “Hell of a Week,” Cross advocated for “castrat[ing] Florida,” deeming it “the dick of the country.” In July, she pointed to Trump White House communications director Alyssa Farrah Griffin joining “The View” as an example of the media pandering to “racist white people.” Back in January, Cross said that liberals “need to pick up a weapon and get involved” in “the war” against democracy, drawing accusations of encouraging violence.

Before joining MSNBC, Cross served as the DC Bureau Chief of BET News and liaison to the Obama Administration for BET Networks. A former producer at CNN and Discovery, she was a frequent guest on MSNBC, CNN and SiriusXM before she received her own show.

MSNBC declined to comment. A representative for Cross did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Mr. Bonnet

New York is the “Concrete Jungle” where dreams are made. Hip Hop is
the New York birthed culture that was the catalyst for other regions to follow suit
as they took note of the pulse of the city. New York has been the conduit to ignite
the powder keg of artists who continue to erupt from that match. The atmosphere
of New York reeks of grind and hustle and the energy and history of the city
captivates you to rise.

Mr. Bonnet is another Phoenix from that rises. Being a product of a New York
automatically gives you distinct DNA that’s filled with grind, hustle, and
determination to succeed. Mr. Bonnet’s goal is to make music for the masses
that not only understand the struggle but understands the realisms that
accompany them. A bad hair day is how Mr. Bonnet received his unusual
moniker. It happened by chance and it stuck from there.

His favorite quote speaks volume and is Microphone drop worthy; “You don’t
need 1,000 ideas to make a great dream, turn one great idea into 1,000 dreams”.
One of a few artists with no pen to pad, everything comes from the center. Mr.
Bonnet’s environment was the landscape; and the lyrics became his “mural”. His
music can be described as “poetry” behind closed doors that’s been translated from prose to a vocal
expressive message of hope, inspiration and the will to inspire and survive.

The days of stereotypical rappers and what they’re supposed to represent are
open to interpretation thanks to artists like J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar. Every
artist has a story to tell; how you weave your tale is what’s going to set you
apart from the rest. Mr. Bonnet’s lyrics exude passion, pain and the struggle of
the inner city of his personal diary of what was, what is, and what will be.
Tragedy often parallels you into two different directions, up or down. The loss of

his younger brother sparked a fire inside of him that simmers daily. Mr. Bonnet
doesn’t take success lightly.

In his music, you will always find an authentic passionate message in real time.
His delivery is laced with the lyrical ease of a seasoned professional.
Mr. Bonnet’s releases to date are entitled “Love Bonneto,” “Break Mode,” and “Loyalty”
are available on all digital formats.

Mr. Bonnet carries his city on his back. The genuine love he gets back in return
has been incredible to date. He is seeking worldwide recognition, and his goal is
to attain it one fan at a time. With determination and allegiance to the grind, this
rising star will definitely get there.

FAC Radio's newest sister Radio Station - Closing Arguments

WEST SACRAMENTO CA (IFS) - Front and Center Magazines' venture into I GIVE A FAC Radio from a blog has been the wildest ride ever.  No one would have believed that such attention would have been placed on this little site.  It was all about getting to the facts, like -- Jack Webb, " Just the facts Mame".  As a young lawyer in training, the teacher of these gifts told, "Mr. Kenneth Howard Smith, there are no such things as Right or Wrong; it's he who has the better argument - wins."

FAC Radio decided to expand its roster to include diverse arguments away from the action of the police.

“It feels good to have ownership of the label I was part of at the beginning of my career and as one of the founding members,” Snoop Dogg remarked after announcing his acquisition of Death Row Records. “This is an extremely meaningful moment for me.”

Over the years, Digital Music News has tracked the strange buying-and-selling of Death Row Records. Now, gangsta rap’s most infamous label has a familiar owner: Snoop Dogg. The Doggfather, aka Calvin Broadus, announced his acquisition of the label from its previous owner, MNRK Music Group.

MNRK was formerly named eOne Music Group, but shed the name in September after being sold by Hasbro. In late April of 2021, The Blackstone Group (NYSE: BX) agreed to purchase Hasbro’s eOne Music – including Dualtone Records and the legendary Death Row Records – for $385 million.

That’s right, Death Row Records has been owned by a major toy company, a massive global investment firm, and now, one of the most famous rappers in the world who just happened to get his start on the label. Indeed, boring days are few and far between in the music industry.

Terms of the acquisition weren’t disclosed.

“I am thrilled and appreciative of the opportunity to acquire the iconic and culturally significant Death Row Records brand, which has immense untapped future value. It feels good to have ownership of the label I was part of at the beginning of my career and as one of the founding members,” Snoop Dogg relayed.

“This is an extremely meaningful moment for me. I would like to personally thank the teams at Blackstone, MNRK and especially David Kestnbaum, who worked collaboratively with me over several months to make this exciting homecoming a reality. I’m looking forward to building the next chapter of Death Row Records.”

Back in the 90s, Death Row Records was an extremely lucrative and notorious label headed by Suge Knight.

The label boasted a roster that included Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Tupac Shakur, among other heavyweight west coast superstars. Those were the early days of gangsta rap, and Death Row Records understood that unfiltered, raw, and gruesome recordings were a recipe for riches.

Among the label’s most iconic releases was Snoop’s Doggystyle, released in 1993. Other Death Row classics included Dr. Dre’s The Chronic and Tupac’s All Eyez on Me.

Those who lived through that era remember a label that was positively dangerous — and helmed by one of the most brutal label bosses in history. Those who crossed Knight, or merely failed to cooperate, were often subjected to beatings. These days, Death Row CEO Suge Knight is a convicted felon currently serving time at the RJ Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego, with a potential parole date of 2037.
