All these boys be pissed at me because I'm having a hard time telling them how I feel. Truth is, I don't feel just one thing about it... I feel 10 different things, and sometimes the most honest answer I can give is "I don't know." That doesn't exactly help anybody sleep at night. You know how many times I've felt backed into a corner though? Like I had to pick one of those emotions and run with it? And how many times I've woken up one day and realized I followed that feeling I picked into a place that is so inauthentic to me I don't even know where to begin undoing it? There’s no solution to this song either.
There's no solution to any song on Identity Crisis. Just the understanding that humans are nutsos and it is 100% completely normal. Feelings can be misleading, they're also freaking beautiful... so idk what to tell you to do with them. Just sing this song at the top of your lungs with me and try to be okay for a minute with the fact that WE JUST DON'T KNOW HOW WE FEEL SOMETIMES.
Also, y'all know I love to beat a dead horse so in case it was still unclear, there are multiple Emilys in here, and they have ALL come out to play.
